The Mustang Cross Country Team has won 5 State Championships, 3 State Runner-Up awards, 24 Metro Confernce Championships and produced 8 Individual State Champions. Often these athletes are inspired to run while in elementary school and middle school by participating in the yearly Western Days Stampede fun run. Thank for for taking part in this Mustang tradition and supporting Mustang Cross Country.
We now score the Stampede like a traditional Cross Country meet. This means that not only will individual places be listed in the order that they finished but each elementary or middle school will receive a team score. The elementary school with the lowerst overall score is the winner of the race. More information about Cross Country racing and scoring can be found HERE
